Care for Jewelry

Jewelry stays looking its best when it is worn. Body oils keep opals and pearls from drying out. Silver and gold stay shinier. However, it is best to take off your jewelry before applying hair spray and lotions. These can build up on a piece and dull it.

Sterling silver will tarnish least when it is worn. Deep recesses may darken in response to body chemistry, but this actually enhances the contrast and beauty of most pieces. When possible, store sterling silver in its original packaging.

If done regularly, jewelry will cleanse nicely with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
